How do i force my pc to do a POST?

I have 2 HDDs and an SSD as my boot drive. I have been trying to put the two HDDs in RAID 1 using my motherboard's BIOS (i have a ROG Maximus VIII Hero Alpha mobo) but for whatever reason, the BIOS doesn't let me select which drives to put into RAID and so it wants me to put
1 of my HDDs and my SSD into a RAID, which I don't want. So I read through the mobos manual and it says I can get into Intels Rapid Storage Technology Utility by pressing Ctrl + I during POST to configure my RAID 1. How do I force my PC to do a POST? (i would also appreciate if somebody could tell me how to select which drives to RAID in my BIOS instead, but I looked through it and the manual thoroughly) I can also use Linux so if there is a solution there I have Linux as a dual boot to Windows, but I don't think Windows would have anything that would let me do this. (i could install software on one of my OS/s but I can almost guarantee there would be issues between the two)

Tried it already, though since I asked this question I was able to figure out a way to select which drives to put into RAID, for whatever reason after that it refuses to boot from my SSD. I know it's still detected because I can see its SMART info, I have no idea why it doesn't boot from it, when I turn off RAID mode it boots from my SSD perfectly fine.

I already looked at the boot priority and for whatever reason, it shows my ethernet ports, I assume that's for when you want to boot from some kind of network or something but it doesn't show the SSD or the HDDs. I haven't checked it when it's not in RAID but I don't really see why I would need to because when it's not in RAID it boots from my SSD fine.

You are doing a HARDWARE RAID, in bios and the BIOS may impose limitations on you. Read Mobo's manual carefully.

I really recommend you backup anything irreplaceable before you do that. Have all your software licenses stowed in case you have to do a restore right? Right. Don't want you to come back doing the 911.

Right now I'm trying to RAID from within the BIOS, but at this rate I might just buy a card so i can do a hardware RAID, I don't think I would need to do a backup because neither of the HDDs has anything on them yet (i just recently built the PC and it's my first build) would i? I reused the SSD from my old PC (i think the HDDs were beginning to fail on my last PC and because of that I decided to put all the data that was on my PC onto my external HDD and leave the old HDD to die wherever I end up putting my old PC).
