I just ordered a new build and am using an All In One cooler (Corsair H45) for the CPU.

Is there a fail safe so that if the pump breaks, the computer shuts down or something of that nature that would protect your processor?

Probably a stupid question but I cant find any straight forward information about it.

Solution
If the pump outputs a speed signal (if it plugs into a fan header, it should), many motherboards can be configured to shut down on CPU fan loss.

They should also shut down on overtemp.

Another question. On the motherboard specifications (https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/Z270-A-PRO.html#productSpecification-section) it says there is:
- 1 x 4-pin CPU fan connector
- 1 x 4-pin water pump fan connector

Would this mean the pump would go into the CPU fan connector and the radiator fan onto water pump fan connector?
