Nvidia 750ti or 730 on an AMD ATHLON II x2 250

Solution
following that logic, you are ready to waste 80 dollars for a 750ti that is 3 years old?

haven't you ever considered on do what the rest of people do, upgrade gpu and then cpu

later other parts

a pc is never a finished device, is a platform that can grow with your needs

you don't have to start from scratch each couple years

alot of parts can be reused and build costs can be reduced this way

the phrase i will do another next year, i said it for 4 years and kept the same pc those 4 years and the next year never came, until i gave away the pc and forced myself to start from scratch
Depends on games and resolution. It's possible to find games that just need a dual core like yours, but also can use every bit of videocard power you have if you want to run at 1080p with high settings. A 750 Ti wins in that case.

It's also possible you want to play games that need a much faster CPU than what you have. A 750 Ti won't do any better on a game like that than a GT 730.

the thing is, I had an ati 7750 and it worked great until it broke a month ago.
I'm playing games from the last decade, I mean, Skyrim, dishonored, games from the 2013 and before. Im planing to build a whole new but not until the next year. Meanwhile I need something decent to work and game a bit with.

So it boils down to this question, Is there a significant difference between the 730 and the 750ti when I'm using that processor? I don't want to spend more money on it

Except if you live in Argentina :pfff:
For 60 dollars i just can afford the nvidia GT710
the 1050ti is around 200 dollars
the 750ti is 130 and the 730 is 95.

i live near there and understand the costs, still d not buy a gtx 750 ti

stop talking about bottlenecking cpu, it is not the end of the world

nothing will get broken, nothing bad happens with a blottleneck

you just get lower than possible frames per second

when you change cpu you get more frames per second, that is all

you need to think in the future, a old slow card the next year will be more slow than now, next year when you upgrade, you will see you wasted money in a slow gpu

investments must be done wisely especially when resources are limited

I'm not planning of keeping it, i just need a quick replacement for this year and then buy a whole new system. With that in mind, if I buy a 1050 it will already be old next year.
