I recently bought an AMD Athlon x4 860k and would like to know how to update bios to support it. My current motherboard is an AMD A78 FCH and the BIOS version is I7KT32AUS. Would a BIOS update support it? Thank you.

A78 is an AMD Chipset known as Fusion Controller Hub (FCH). AMD has named its southbridge Fusion Controller Hub (FCH) since the introduction of its Fusion APUs.

It sounds like you have a LENOVO Lenovo H535 10117 Tower
You may be able to find the PC serial number to look up that.

I do have a H535, so you know what you're talking about.
I did that, have a Bios file downloaded, and a UEFI file too, I just don't know how to do with it.

enter in bios with the file copied into a usb flash drive

you must have a ups so if electricity decides to leave your house, your pc will finish the bios upgrade perfectly

enter in bios select upgrade bios, point it to the file and leave it do the process

once it finishes, turn off pc, unplug pc, remove heatsink, put the new cpu, don't bend pins on it, lock it in place, put the new heatsink with the thermal paste it comes, connect the fan and reconnect the psu to turn it on, that should be all

btw, from where did you got the bios file you want to use?

I got it from the Lenovo website, it was a .efi file. I went to a FAT32 bios and it says to type the file, but when I do, it isn't there? Is there a BIOS file that you reccomend or have the link to? Pictures can be added if needed.

I'm sure, it's a .efi file. When I run bios, the command I run is the name of the file? Or are there steps that lead up to that?
