Hey
I have this problem where I only have low fps in CSGO, and my CPU usage is always at 100%. This does not happen in any other game, and when I benchmark the PC, everything is performs like it should EXCEPT for my GPU, which is a few percent below average.
These are my relevant specs:
i5-4690K
GTX 1070
8GB Kingston 1600mhz RAM
256GB HyperX SSD
Windows 10
As you can tell I should easily get 300+ fps, but for some reason I'm stuck around 150. This is a problem because I have a 144hz monitor and sometimes my fps dips under that.
I've tried many, many things in my effort to solve the problem. The following are the ones I can remember:
Uninstalling CS
Removing launch settings
Changing settings in-game
Reinstalling video drivers
Uninstalling video drivers
Overclocking GPU
Overclocking CPU
Get watercooling for my CPU
Turn up the fans to get less heat.
Reset my BIOS
Play without GPU
Parking a CPU core or two
Reinstalling the OS
Installing Windows 8
Changed settings in the Nvidia control panel (everything is on high performance)
The weird thing is that these problems came a few months after I upgraded from an R9 390 to the GTX 1070, but I can't see how it could be the GPU's fault since the CPU usage is probably what gives me low fps
So if someone could help me solve this I'd be really grateful.
