Best RGB LED strip

Solution

I personally prefer the BitFenix Alchemy series RGB strips, they have great color and are bright. These are a bit more high end though don't know your budget! And I don't belive that strip you were talking about would work with a motherboard. But it does have that 4 pin connector so it actually might.

Thanks

Yeah I guessed that it just MIGHT work as it has a 4pin connector.

The bit fenix seems a bit expensive but how about this one? https://www.amazon.com/BitFenix-Magnetic-Strip-30cm-BFA-RGB-30MK15N-RP/dp/B01LX64AJE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1493526732&sr=8-1&keywords=Bitfenix%2Balchemy%2Brgb&refinements=p_n_shipping_option-bin%3A3242350011&th=1

Those ones look nice to me I would get those. And like what James said which you probably know just make sure your mobo has a 4 pin connector. Most modern ones do tho.

I am going to use the ASUS Strix Z270e which has a 4 pin RGB header.

But the strip I mentioned https://www.amazon.com/WenTop-Waterproof-300leds-Controller-Kicthen/dp/B00X7JUN0I/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1493525629&sr=8-2&keywords=rgb+led&refinements=p_n_shipping_option-bin%3A3242350011 is not officially supported by the ASUS Aura Sync so I want to know for sure if it would work or no.

Yeah but I want to know if the one I previously mentioned would work or no as that one seems like more value.

It should work but the only thing im a bit skeptical about is that it might draw too much amp's from the port. Especially considering its 5 meters long!

Thank you

I don't want to risk it and get it thinking that it "should" work.
That's why I am going with a proper RGB LED strip.

And about the power consumption, I can just cut it down can't I?

Yes of course but I didnt know how long you wanted it. And then it should suck less DC power from the mobo.

Well, in the end, I will get a bitfenix RGB LED strip just to play it safe.
