I'm unsure on how to proceed in providing internet connection to a second computer in another room. I have a wireless router but I've been told that I'd need to leave it connected to my modem, and from there use an ethernet cable to connect it all the way to the room with the second computer which isn't what I'd prefer to do. What would be the best wireless way to provide my second computer with internet connection? I have a Hitron CGN2 modem and a wireless DIR-605L router. Thanks in advance and I apologize if my question comes across as incoherent or ignorant babble.

Solution
Aside from ethernet cable you can use a power line adapter. You plug in one end connected to the router and the other end to the computer and it uses your home internal wiring to pass the signal. Or if wifi is fast enough you can always get either a USB adapter or pcie adapter.

If second computer is a desktop computer, it more than likely doesn't have a WiFi adapter in it, but you can easily remedy that by installing one in a PCIe slot, or if you'd rather not mess with that you can buy a USB WiFi adapter. Whichever you go for, it allows you to connect the host PC to the router.

A wired connection would be faster & more reliable though, but give WiFi a try & see how it performs.

No, it does not.

Thanks for answering my question! The person using the second computer will mainly just use it for Netflix and browsing, between a USB adapter or a power line adapter, which one would be the most affordable and adequate adapter that would provide a stable enough connection to stream and such?

Thanks as well for answering my question! I'd rather not mess around with Wifi adapters. The person with the second computer will mainly be using it for Netflix, which I assume doesn't really need a more fast and reliable connection.
