Hi, I recently decided I wanted a beefy gaming computer, but I'm not too smart when it comes to it all. I know there are many things to take into account when building one. I want something that will last, and is basically amazing all around. I wanted to get into video editing and such (Youtube more specifically) And was wondering if I need a second PC for this, as I have seen many people multiple. If someone could compile a list of parts I need (specifics, please tell me a good choice, and if everything is compatible) within a price range of 1,500$ I'd appreciate it.

For your video editing, the Ryzen build is best. Here's one such build:

Few words.

Put in R7 1700 CPU that is the best value CPU when it comes to video editing thanks to it's 8 cores and 16 threads. For gaming, it will also do but not as good as Intel CPUs. Picked a nice X370 chipset MSI MoBo for your build. For video editing, you'll need lots of RAM, so put 32GB of it in to run at 2666 Mhz. Samsung SSD is for OS drive and WD 1TB HDD for data storage. Went with GTX 1070 GPU which helps in video rendering and also allows you to play on 1440p (2K) with high/ultra settings. Picked an all around good case for you that also has 200mm side intake fan. If you don't like the case, feel free to switch it out. Your build is powered by good build quality Seasonic unit. 80+ Gold certification, semi-modular and 5 years of warranty come with G-650 series PSU. To install your Win 10, added an ODD as well that can read & write DVDs/CDs. And lastly, a common Win 10 as an OS.
