Is it GFX card or monitor?

Thin vertical lines in 4k gaming.

Hi guys. I'm not sure if it's my ASUS PB287Q monitor or my new ASUS ROG STRIX 1080TI OC but whilst I am gaming at 4K on games like DOOM I am noticing lots of faint thin vertical lines on screen whilst things are in motion.
I don't seem to notice this at all at 2k which has been my norm. It doesn't seem to be about the quality settings I use as the card can push over 60 fps at nightmare settings.
I'm not really noticing the same problem on other games so I am wondering if it's a game optimisation thing with this specific card.

From my experience vertical lines are often associated with the card being overclocked a bit too high. Try turning it down a little bit and see if this changes anything. Also i would recommend you monitor the GPU temperature for a while during gameplay to see if the card is fine.

Hi

Sorry for not responding - I have been out of the Country and never saw an email update. The card is running completely stock and the temp never goes above 60c. DOOM at 4K is the only thing I get it on, everything else is silky smooth. It's like a fine mesh - I don't understand it.
