Hello, i recently installed Linux (Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS) to my pc. Now i have a two operating os, and i want to delete one.
So i have some questions about the procces.
1- I want to transfer some files from Windows 10, how can i do that?
2- I have a 1tb hard drive, and Windows 10 has 856gb of it, if i delete the Windows can i add this space to Linux os.
3- How do i delete the Windows 10 without formatting the whole drive and reinstalling the linux?

Solution
1. Can the Linux see the Windows partition? If so, just copy what you need.
Otherwise, copy to a USB stick first, then transfer into the Linux OS

2. Yes.

3. Boot into Linux, delete all partitions 'Not Linux'. Edit your GRUB menu to remove the Windows option.
