Which blower style GTX 1070 should I get?

Next week I'll be building in an Ncase and I'm looking for a good blower style card to put in it.
Right now I'm trying to decide between the GTX 1070 FE and the MSI GeForce GTX 1070 8GB.

I'm not worried about the performance differences between these cards as I'm sure they are not very different, but I'm looking for the better cooler when it comes to termps and noise. I'm opting to go with a blower style card because i'm planning on installing a 3.5" drive under the graphics card and I do not want to choke one of the fans that would be on an open air cooler.

Does anyone have any experience building in the Ncase M1 with either of these cards? What about other 1070s? Thanks for your input!

I always thought the general rule was that the Nvidia blower coolers were the better choice. I assumed that the 3rd party companies spent most of their time and energy designing their open are designs. I haven't used the MSI blower card but I have used the FE 1080 and 1080 Ti cards really aren't that loud if you run the stock fan profile and aren't trying to overclock.

Thanks for the reply! Glad to hear that you're happy with the other FE cards. Right now I can get the 1070 FE for about $20 less than the MSI Aero card. I can't find anyone who has compared these two cards, and MSI does not highlight any kind of cooling gains with it. I think I might save the $20 and go with the FE.

I have a 1080 Aero OC. The Aero is a little faster and a little more expensive, gets just as hot and is just as noisy imo. If the higher clockspeeds are worth the 20 dollars then go for the msi, if not, then opt for the FE.
I too am building an ncase with blower style for my gf, but here the fe is more expensive, so the choice is easy for me.
