Guys, I'm torn between these 2 keyboards. This is my first ever mechanical keyboard so i don't want to rush into the purchase as well. Can anyone who has experience with these 2 keyboards or at least either one let me know their experience and which one you think I should get?

Currently, i'm leaning towards the CM because of its superior build quality and how I heard from everyone aaying that it's built like q tank. On the other hand, though, logitech has much superior software for macros, even though i don't know how extensively i'll be using them.

If it's of any help, i'll be getting the keyboard in cherry mx browns. Thanks in advance guys.

The thing with the Orion models, there have been many reports of a spring poing sound coming from the keyboard. I tried one at a store, and the space bar is a bit loud with that sound, but have not noticed the other keys to have any issues. Of course this may vary by the sample you get.

You can also take a look at the G.Skill http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/g.skill-ripjaws-km570-mechanical-gaming-keyboard,4993.html
And also the Corsair Straffe which is in the $80-110 price range depending on lighting options. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16823816042

I just bought the Corsair Strafe with the MX Silent keys from BestBuy when they had a sale on this model...

I just bought the Corsair Strafe with the MX Silent keys from BestBuy when they had a sale on this model http://www.bestbuy.com/site/corsair-strafe-rgb-mx-silent-gaming-keyboard-black/4370907.p?skuId=4370907 and like it, very fast and quiet key response. If you don't care about the RGB lights, you can get it for quite a bit cheaper. I think I paid $120 for mine, and really the RGB lights were more or less an impulse thing I wanted to play with, I could have saved $20 or more for a cheaper version.

You may want to head to a store and try them out before picking a mechanical keyboard. BestBuy usually has a few out to test, and their prices when on sale are actually not that bad. A few times I have seen keyboards and headsets on sale cheaper than NewEgg prices for the same model, or equal.
