Customer changed fan himself on this laptop, screws are bent on the fan housing (assume he changed the blade part of the fan instead of the whole fan).

Powers up OK, apart from black screen.
- After removing the bottom housing, fan doesn't spin up at power up, only the LED on power button and keyboards light up. No indication of charging. After 20 secs fan spins at full load.

No bent pins on any of the sockets that could be causing a short circuit.

Have tried:

  • Removing the battery and discharging any static
Powering up with battery removed and only charger plugged in
Removed RAM - No Sound from the speakers or and flashes indicating an error
    Unplugged ODD Board & Touchpad
Changed RAM from bottom slot to top slot

Solution
Add change the RAM stick for another one and I'll be baffled completely. That's all I can think of unless he was working unearthed while shuffling his feet on a nylon carpet.

Got one on order. Hoping that will fix it. But just seeing what everyone else thinks could be the problem.
