I was planning to add another 8gb stick to my pc for a total of 16gb. I was searching online, when I find a closely similar memory stick as mine. Mine was Kingston KVR21N15S8/8 and the person selling the memory stick has a Kingston KVR21N15D8/8. I searched their specifications and there difference was the Refresh to Active. Can I pair the two memory sticks?

Thank you.

I'm going to tell you right now.. Most people on this site will automatically tell you to never mix different packages of RAM together. I'll tell you from experience that it's OK to do that and I've never had any problems. If you're worried about stability you could always run RAM tests to verify you won't have any problems.

It's not true that most people will straight up tell you not to do it. We advise not to do it and we state the risks. We also tell you, that if the memory sticks are almost the same the chance of them working together is very high.
