Will this CPU work with this motherboard?

Hi all,

I'm looking to upgrade my PC and wasn't sure if a motherboard I'm about to purchase will be compatible with my existing CPU. The details are:

Existing CPU: i5-4690k
Potential Motherboard: MSI Intel Z270 SLI PLUS 7th/6th Gen USB2 Motherboard

Also, just out of curiosity.. Is the existing CPU I have good enough to efficiently run a Nvidia GTX 1080?

Sorry mate you have to change cpu to go with DDR4 and 1151 socket. For me it doesn;t worth it. You are good for the time being. Unless you have money spend with it, i can make a suggestion. But don't fall with this upgrade tech stuff. Sometimes the money is too much for a tiny upgrade and zero difference for...

Thanks for the advice mate. I really want to upgrade my RAM to DDR4 and my current mobo only allows DDR3. Can you recommend a great gaming mobo that will work with my existing CPU and allow DDR4 RAM?? I'm looking to spend up to £130.
