Hello.

Right now i got 2 x 1070 in SLI and one 1440p monitor.

I want to connect a 2nd monitor and normally it should be connected to the same GPU, however i want to avoid this for two reasons:

1. I am not planning to game on both monitors (surround), only on one of them.
2. Adding a second monitor to the same GPU adds a little more pressure and it gets a bit hotter (as far as i know).

Can i connect the 2nd monitor to the second GPU and use it for browsing, while i play games on the 1st monitor?

Thanks.
Jo.

It needs to be hooked up to the primary GPU in SLI and I can tell you from experience that browsing, Netflix and videos won't hurt your performance of SLI nor does it get much warmer. Also you can use one for gaming and one for browsing (I'm doing that currently).

If you do connect the second monitor to the second card then you won't be able to enable SLI.
