i recently got a new pc built for me at my local pc shop.
my old rig was a crappy asus board that i cant remember the name of, an FX-8350, a gtx 970, and 16 gb of my brother old ram. i upgraded to an i7 7700k, asus rog maximus hero and 16 gb of vengence ram.

in games like overwatch, h1z1 king of the kill and borderlands 2 i cant get higher frames than 20.

im not very experienced with pcs but i looked at other guides and used all the solved recommendations such as turning my pc to max performance and to add all those games to my nvidia control panel.

im able to run games like sniper elite 4, skyrim special edition and homefront revolution on ultra and never go under 55 fps and those games are way more graphically demanding than the games im having trouble with so im not sure what is going on.

some help would be greatly appreciated,
thanks.

Solution
My guess is they were lazy and didn't reinstall Windows which you really should do with any motherboard change. This can definitely cause performance issues. I'd start with a fresh Windows install.

Hey,

Could you please upload a picture of HWInfo: https://www.hwinfo.com/download.php
Running in sensor only mode, play one of the games that doesn't work well and upload screenshots of all of the info on HWInfo.

Also, if you are on Windows 10 or 8, please go into your task manager and go to the performance tab, then the CPU tab and upload a screenshot of that.

Are you still running the GTX 970?

Did windows get reinstalled?

Looked through the HWInfo stuff and all seems to be okay. Your HDD is maxed out, but I noticed it wasn't on the first set of screenshots, so I assume it is because of something unrelated.

All I could really suggest I reinstalling your Graphics drivers by uninstalling with DDU: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
then reinstall the latest version from Nvidia: http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-uk

Could you also run 3DMark Firestrike. The app 3DMark is available on steam. After running you will get a score with a view online option. Can you please send the link to that page.
