Can I use Methanol cleaning a cpu and cpu die

Hey,
I want to clean my CPU and after delid and I would need to clean the CPU die with some alcohol.
Can I use 95% alcohol denatured with Methanol ? (I've tried to look for some other alcohol - such as Isopropyl Alcohol but I couldn't find in my city)

Is it OK ? Won't harm the cpu or the cpu die?

By 95% alcohol, I'm guessing you mean ethanol.

It will probably evaporate quicker than isopropyl alcohol, but get the job done.

It shouldn't do anything that isopropyl alcohol wouldn't do. If you're not applying it directly. (Better to wet a cloth or something first).

Can't make any guarantees, but I'm in Organic II, and I do know the properties of alcohols pretty well. I do not know what kind of plastics are on it, but if you're just wiping off the die, you should be fine.

Now that I think about it, it might be an even better solvent than the isopropyl alcohol and do a better job of cleaning.
