I recently found my folder that has all of my photos in it has become corrupted and unreadable. It is just one folder on the hard drive and I really do need to recover it as I am a photographer. When I found this out I installed a new 2TB drive into my system to store my files on from now as I no longer trust external storage. Just wondering if there is any way to recover this folder from the drive?
Thanks

Step 1. Backups
Step 2. See Step 1

Data that exists in only one place may be said to not exist at all.
And its not the external drive that is an issue...it is ALL drives, of any type.
That external USB thing has a standard drive inside.

To recover, try either Recuva from Piriform, or Testdisk.
If those don't work...

Just before you attempt DIY restoration or recovery, consider usb or dvd booting Macrium Reflect or anything similar -- making a clone of that hard-drive onto reliable external HD, storing that target HD in a safe place, in case more drastic measures are needed.
