New Kaby Lake build, need advice

Hello guys
So to this day my old build with an i5-3570k+asrock z77 extreme4+gtx550Ti is still serving me well. I do some light gaming, mostly older games that are not very demanding (cs:go, HOTS, D3...) and some basic tasks like browsing, music, videos etc.

Now I am pretty sure my motherboard is defective (will not detect any PCIex GPU anymore) and it is out of warranty so I have a choice to make. I've had a quick look for a used z77 motherboard but with the prices I've seen, and also since I am very tired of my huge, old case, I am tempted in simply building a new budget Kaby lake build.

I am aiming at the G4560 with a B250 motherboard, 8-16G of DDR4 2400 and a Coolermaster N200, Micro-ATX form. Those seem like good choices for my needs while keeping costs low. I might still use the GTX550Ti for now and buy a new modern GPU in the next few months.

Sorry for the rent, I am now finally getting to my question: should I re-use these old parts that I have? they have not shown any sign of a problem yet but they do are a couple years old (about 4 yrs old of use)
- Corsair HX650W PSU
- Intel 520 Series SSD 128g
- WD Black 1TB HDD

I think they still are correct for the new build, but should I spend a bit more and start with new components all over?

Thanks for keeping on reading!

Solution
What's the budget?
I'd honestly just get a new motherboard and graphics card, the rest of your stuff is very healthy in terms of performance, and the G4560 would be a quite big drop down from the Ivy Bridge k i5 you have currently.

Thanks man.

I'd like to spend <500 CAN right now, if possible.
I am open to it, but it doesn't seem easy to find a decent Z77 mobo nowdays...?
I wouldn't want to buy some used board on ebay that would break in 2 months and I am in the same boat again...

If you're not willing to buy used you're out of luck, nobody is going to be selling such an old motherboard new at this stage, and that's the best value option available to you unfortunately. :(
Have you tried the 8x slots on your motherboard?
A new GPU would be the answer if so.

Yeah I tried the other slot, also tried another GPU (gtx 550 from a friend) in both and it wasn't working either. I then tested the GPU in a different PC and it worked fine, confirming the GPU is OK. So I am pretty sure it is the mobo at this point...

Luckily, I can still temporarily use the PC with the onboard IGP...

I will def check again but even used, there wasn't much options at first glance that weren't selling for a ridiculous price :(

Thanks for your advice!

Interesting for sure. In fact even though it's a K processor I never looked into OCing...
I also possibly found a place to order a new Intel DZ77SL-50K board, for 99 USD, but comes OEM without any accessories or IO shield. Also not yet sure on the shipping options...

So I was reluctant to go this route at first because buying used parts for a dead chipset seemed odd to me but at the same time, my 3570k is not as outdated as I thought and I could only afford a lower-end CPU if I upgraded right now.
I was able to find a semi-decent deal on a used ASUS P8Z77-V DELUXE mobo so I pulled the trigger and bought it.
I'll take the occasion to move to a new case, probably a Fractal R5, and maybe play around with a light overclock of the CPU. Will upgrade the GPU somewhere down the line and hopefully nothing breaks and I can give this system a few more years... :)

Thanks for the advice guys!
