should i buy a new cpu?

I have an AMD FD6300WMHKBOX FX-6300 6-Core Processor. It's two almost three years old. It still works fine, but I was going to buy an ASUS Geforce GTX 1060 and was wondering if it's a good idea to upgrade my CPU too.

Upgrading your CPU is a good idea because the FX-6300 will not allow the gtx 1060 to be fully utilized I would recommend a i5 7400/6400 or a ryzen 1500 with a cheap B-350 motherboard so you can get a good over clock of a bought 3.9 or 4 ghz

I have an asus m5a99fx pro r2.0 motherboard. If I get one of those CPU's, will they be compatible? Or should i look into other AMD CPU's?
