I'm upgrading my PC from intel to ryzen and was wondering if the standard Corsair H80i will work with the new Ryzen 5 AM4 socket. To clarify I have the standard H80i, not the H80i v2 and not the H80i GT. Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: After looking harder i realize I'm just stupid and my H80i has the hardware for AM4 as it is backwards compatible with AM3.

According to this publication by Corsair back in February they listed various AIO coolers that would fit out of the box and would provide Mounting brackets for a limited period of time to the older units.

I advise you to check with Corsair support as when I purchased my H115i it did NOT fit out of the box and I had to use an AM3 backplate to make it work. I think it also depends on the MB as my Crosshair VI Hero had offset holes for both. I was lucky to have the correct AM3 backplate from another build otherwise I would have been held up for probably weeks.

Maybe they have the correct solution now but if not then, order your AM3 backplate which you can get on Ebay like this one.
