You have two considerations - Operation and Licensing

Operation - Will it boot up with the new hardware? Maybe, maybe not.
The greater the difference between old parts and new parts, the less chance of it working.
Prepare for if you have to do a full reinstall.

Licensing - What OS is this?
If Win 10, you can link your digital entitlement to a Microsoft account, and use this same license on the new hardware.
Read and do this before you change the hardware:

If a different Windows OS, and an OEM license...you may need to actually buy a whole new license...

If a different Windows OS, and an OEM license...you may need to actually buy a whole new license for this. Or call MS and plead your case. They may or may not take pity on you, and allow that same license to be used on the new hardware.
