I have a Dell Inspirion N4010 with Windows 7 Home 64-bit.

The person brought it back in 2011, but accidentally spilled lemonade two weeks after the purchase which fried the motherboard as an result. They didn't come and get the laptop fixed until very recently.

I have replaced the motherboard (main motherboard), and the laptop is now powering on. It is loading Windows correctly, so it is working related to software as it is. However, I am now experiencing a few issues.

The wi-fi adapter and the speakers does not seem to exist or plugged in, even though I am positive that I had plugged them in. It is possible that I may not plugged it in correctly, but I plan to go back and check up with it.

I discussed this with my IT instructor, and we troubleshooted with various software solutions. I have re-installed Windows 7, but it doesn't appear to work.

I'm now thinking it's related to the hardware. What do you think may be possibly wrong with the speakers/sounds and Wi-Fi adapter?

Thank you.

I did just that. I actually figured out my solution. Apparently I didn't see a part of the motherboard that had to be properly plugged in.

Fixed my mistake then went ahead and installed the drivers, and the laptop is working! The wi-fi adapter and sounds are working perfectly, but it is loud now. Haha.

Thank you.
