hi guys,
i was planning to install a new os on my pc. but im not well sure about post-installation procedures, im an amateur at this. what drivers are inevitable to be installed on my pc? and do these drivers need to be downloaded specifically according to the mobo model or will the latest drivers do (for eg, intel display driver)? i heard that the necessary drivers are installed automatically in case of win8 or 10. but i dont have internet access on that pc so automatic download and install wont work. so what am i supposed to do?
the mobo is from Dell ( 0K83V0 looks like the model num)
any help would be of great help:)

its always best to install drivers from your hardware manufacturers website then to let windows use it's generic drivers. this also would be another disadvantage of having no internet connection on the computer because you will be not be notified of any driver updates so its best to go and download and install the latest drivers for your computer.

go to dells website and look up your computers model number to download all the drivers. but at the very least you will need either your network adapter and wiereless adapter drivers in case windows can't find a driver for them. without either of those drivers you won't be able to get on the net to download anything and would need to get access to another computer to get them

Thanks for the reply guys...
Like i said, the pc I'm to format doesn't have internet access. Any needed driver i have to download on my laptop and copy to the desktop.
So its not necessary to install network drivers, right?

if you don't need and net connection for the other computer then no. if you are installing windows 10 though you will need to connect to the net at least once to activate it

I meant to say it doesn't have internet connection. Its not like i cant have internet... But for the time being, i don't have! It could take like a week for the connection. Thats why i was asking about the necessity of internet and drivers after format.
So then i dont even have to install graphics divers?

are you able to list the specs of your computer or give a model number? if your computer is really old then there maybe windows already includes the latest driver for it
