Hi everyone,
A few months ago, I had a problem while playing a game during a LAN party: my monitor shut down and wouldn't turn back on. My video card is a GTX 650 Ti, but my friend had a GTX 660 so I borrowd it to him, and the problem seemed solved.
Recently (about 1 month ago), my computer restarts randomly (shuts down then turns itself back on instantly) while I'm playing games (mainly Hearts of Iron 4, Heroes of the Storm, 7 days to die, Counterstrike...). Here's what I did since then:
1. Updated my BIOS
2. Changed my CMOS battery which was at ~2.5V instead of 3V
3. Tested my PSU voltage (everything seems fine)
4. Reinstalled all my GPU drivers
5. Checked all my temperatures (GPU, CPU, etc...)
I tried switching back to my GTX 560 Ti and the computer no longer restarts, but instead the monitor shuts down. It seems like it is the same problem for both GPU, but the response isn't the same based on the GPU.
I also looked plenty of threads on this forum for solutions, but none of them worked. Anyone has a clue about how I could solve this?
Here's my spec:
CPU: Intel I3-2500K 3.3 GHz
Motherboard: MSI MS-7673
GPU: Nvidia GTX 560Ti or GTX 660
RAM: 8 Gb DDR3 (1300Hz)
PSU: Thermaltake 600W (I don't really remember the exact model)
HDD: Seagate 3TB (5400 RPM)
SSD: Seagate 256Gb (7200 RPM)
OS: Windows 7 64-Bit
