Making AM3 compatible cpu coolers to 1151 compatible

I am considering buying a new motherboard and intel cpu with socket-1151. My old cpu was AMD and the cooler was AMD3+ compatible only.

I am wondering if a kit like Noctua NM-i115x Mounting-Kit will be able to convert it from AM3+ to socket-1151.

depends on the specific cooler and whether or not it originally supported it and you kept the alternative mounting brackets.

The brackets that come with cooler are usually specific to that cooler.
