I am wondering if a kit like Noctua NM-i115x Mounting-Kit will be able to convert it from AM3+ to socket-1151.

Solution James Mason May 1, 2017 depends on the specific cooler and whether or not it originally supported it and you kept the alternative mounting brackets. The brackets that come with cooler are usually specific to that cooler.
