I got a Refurbished Dell Optiplex 990 DT with a i5-2400 and 8GB of ram. I want to save up some money to upgrade some parts in my PC. If I can get a new case and power supply, I want to get a graphics card that would cost $90 or less and it be compatible with my motherboard. I wouldn't do that much PC gaming but I have some games I like to play but either don't function correctly or lags like crap and looks potato. Since my PC is a Desktop and not a Mini tower or a tower I can't upgrade the power supply or get a graphics card because it is to wide for my PC. So now I'm wondering if I could get a new case that is bigger than the original one. I have looked everywhere online trying to find some dimensions or something that I could use to find a case that works with the motherboard. If I can get a different case, my maximum budget is $50 or less.
Thanks Calvin7 for the answer to my question. It helps Allot, but I still have some questions about a decent graphics card for some light/medium gaming at 720p and or 1080p and a good Micro-ATX case under $50?
I found this case, looks pretty cool at least it has a side panel window and a mount for a watercooler system or some extra fans, I don't think I need to worry about USB 3.0 because I don't know if my motherboard supports it. It's not the coolest looking case, but for $35 and a $10 mail-in rebate. It's good for the type of computer I have. Not outdated, but old. On Gmod my PC gets somewhere around 30-40 FPS using the on board graphics. I'm not going to play many games so I think my PC graphics card can definitely handle the games I want to play.

Or maybe this case? What would you guys recommend for my budget and motherboard type.

I don't know what type of power supplies to look for ATX, ATX12, Micro-ATX, SFX12V
