Network Connection Lag

So for the last couple of days, I have been experiencing lag I usually never experience before. I tried restarting my router and it hasn't made a difference. Im running a MSI Ge62 apache pro and its just lag spikes, but I never had them beforee.

Do you share the network with ANY other devices (Xbox, Cell Phones, Tablets, etc.)?
You are aware that all Windows Phones, Xbox Ones and Windows 10 based systems are updating 'anytime' to the Creator's Update version, which is a several GIG download PER device?
Do you have any GAME Provider apps (Steam, Origin, etc.) that may be running 'in the background' updating games?
Have you run actual PING and TRACERTs to and from where your trying to connect to ?
and so on and so on..

There is a hundred reasons from system infections, updates, patches, just a bad gaming services your connecting to to anything else (don't forget there was a Tornado in Texas, was where your connecting in the affected area?) that can cause it .
