I have built several new computers successfully. The motherboard has a light on standby. The fans begin to spin for 1 second then the computer shuts down, The CPU never beeps and the fan never begins to spin. All components are new. Will be trying known working power source in the meantime.

i would recommenced taking the static out of the computer press and hold the power button for 1 min also try taking the cmos battery out of the motherboard for 5 mins and putting it back in or try taking out the ram banging it against something that is metal and last if none of these work try the jumper pin on the mother board here a tutorial by ncix
