I have done this before, but I am currently going from my Z170 board (ASUS Z170-AR) to a new Gigabyte Z270 board (GA-Z270X-Gaming K7). I have currently downloaded all of my drivers from the support section for my board, and I will put all of them on both a flash drive and my bootdrive. I am doing so due to my last experience (which ended horribly) where I could not obtain drivers due to not being able to use flash drives or any sort of internet.

Is there anything else I should do?
I know how to reactivate windows through the phone after the motherboard replacement. I am only replacing the CPU, motherboard, and RAM.

OLD BUILD

NEW BUILD

You're really not right there, the ethernet port should work out of the box unless there's some crippling issue with the board.
I've never encountered this before and I run a store, I'd like to think i've swapped over enough windows copies for a lifetime.
If you choose not to believe me and instead believe that for some reason manufacturers disable the ethernet port out of the box and won't enable it unless you USB boot a new BIOS that's your choice.
New build link isn't working.
Why on earth would you download drivers for your CURRENT board and stick them on a different board with different specs?
Do you mean you got the Z270-X Gaming K7 drivers? :p
It comes with a Kaby Lake BIOS out of the box, no need to do a USB boot, better off to wait until you have internet or get a wireless card if it magically doesn't work with an Ethernet cable.

You clearly have not swtiched motherboards with the same OS before to understand that MOST of the time, you will need to download the new drivers just to get USB and ethernet support. Your reply isn't very helpful.
