My mouse is automatically moving the scroll when hovering over volume/dropbox, etc.

Ok, so I will try to keep this simple.

I have a wireless mouse and for the last few days it has been acting weird.

For example, when I go to youtube and hover the mouse cursor over the volume slider, it slides on its own to the right. It does this for media players as well and if I try to bring it low (the volume) it goes back to max volume just by hovering over it.

This also applies to hovering over dropbox choices. Example, I am being asked a question and it wants me to choose an answer from the select dropbox. It automatically goes all the way to the bottom/last choice. If I scroll up to select a higher answer it goes all the way down again.

It has been doing this for a few days and I do not recall doing anything to affect the mouse. I uninstalled the drivers for it and had it reinstalled but it did not fix it. Any suggestions?

I am running Windows 7 64-bit, and my mouse model is a ET Easterntimes Tech 2.4G Wireless Optical Mouse (Model: D-09)

Solution
Could be a hardware fault or a sticky button. Could also be a glitch. Unplug the receiver, remove the batteries from the mouse, wait 30 seconds then put it all back. Translation - turn it off and back on again. Check all the buttons are working as expectied and the scrolling wheel too. I find an open text file in wordpad is sometimes a good way to play with a mouse and see what's happening without too much hassle. If it has lots of buttons check them all.
