Trouble with this is, yes, the ram may not be supported, so that could be the problem.
The other problem could be that your bios needs updating to support RyZen 5, all of these AM4 motherboards shipped with R7 support only, a month before R5 was released, If you have a look at the Gigabyte website for your board you'll see you need bios F4 on the board for the CPU to work,

Best thing you can do is contact the shop you brought it from and tell them it needs a bios update to work, they should offer this service for free for you.
After that you'll know if its a ram compatability problem.
