Hi,

So I'm thinking of buying in hopefully, the next 2 weeks the above card!? It ticks all my boxes and whilst I'm still using a native resolution of a paltry 1920 x 1080, I know it'll blitz anything I throw at it! Will be being gifted a 1440p monitor in the next month hopefully!?

Anyway I've seen a particular retailer drop the price from GBP 580 to 520! I was initially unaware that the sudden decrease in price was to do with the available BIOS update that EVGA have rolled out for older cards. I have also read, to do this can potentially be fatal as not all cards once flashed will be stable!? So does anyone know if newer versions are shipping to the UK, and if so when? And is the additional memory bandwith going to make all that much difference? Could I OC it to that same speed out of the box, does the price drop make going for the original version a better bang for buck prospect!? I know it carries I think a dual BIOS but tbh if the speed increase in memory makes THAT much of a difference, Id rather wait and pay the extra for the newer version as and when it lands in the UK!?

Many thanks, it'd be great to hear your comments on this!
