Will my CPU largely affect upgrading my GPU??

I want to upgrade my GPU but I'm worried that my CPU won't be able to handle it. Is this a vast concern or should I be pretty well off regardless of CPU? I currently have an Intel Core i3-2120 (3.30GHz) and want to upgrade my GPU to an ASUS ROG Radeon RX 480 8g card.

My current GPU is a Sapphire Radeon HD 7700 (I'm not sure if its 1GB or 2GB) and my current power supply is 600W.

That's a big upgrade, nice :)

To answer your question - yes, there will be times where your i3 is going to hold back your fps a bit but you should still get a very good gaming experience with it. Plus, you can always upgrade to an i7 2600 or i7 3770 later if you need to.

Your 600w power supply - assuming that it's a good quality power supply it should be enought to power an rx 480
