Hi guys I'm new here and this is the first question I ask sorry if I'm on the wrong place to ask.

So I've had a problem for quite a while I have an old PC that had no GPU and wanted to use my "old" GPU on it.

The PC is a core 2 quad q8300 and the thing is it works with a geforce 210 but when I put a rx480 in it I only get video from the chipset and no sign of life from the RX I have tried powering the RX from an external PSU same problem so I'm asking here to see if you have any idea of what I could try next GPU is still under warranty but no other pc to test it in.

Motherboard:

Also tried reset bios no change .

Thanks in advance for reading and hope you can help me.

Given the age of that motherboard (and the likely version 1.x PCIe slots), I am not surprised that the RX480 is not working. There are many similar threads with issues with similar configurations. The issue is a lack of power from the PCIe slot.
