Hi,

since I bought my Gigabyte GA-B150-HD3P motherboard, my PC didnt want to turn on sometimes, I found out that this only happens when an external USB harddrive is connected,
at least when its connected to one of the front ports of the case (Going to test the behaviour with the ports on the backside as soon as I'm able to and append that info within an edit).
These ports work fine when the PC is up and running.
Anyone an idea why this happens and if this is somehow fixable?

Probably can be fixed by changing the boot order in the BIOS. Your motherboard mistakes the USB drive as a possible boot drive, thus it tries to boot from it, but finds that it's impossible and becomes stuck in a cycle.

Go to BIOS --> Boot --> Boot Manager --> Make sure Windows SATA or Windows Boot Manager is enabled.

Not really something you can fix. You need to call the manufacturer and let them know about this issue. They will likely RMA the drive if it's still under warranty.

I saw this issue once with a DVD rom drive when I was a warranty technician for Dell. I disconnected the drive and the system turned on without issues. In the end, Dell sent a replacement drive and the computer was working fine again after I installed that for the customer.

Corsair is assuming your computer DOES turn on but it's not booting. I'm assuming your computer will not turn on (based on what you said.)
