I am planning to built a pc.
So I have chosen a gigabyte GA-B250M-D3H motherboard.

But it shows it is not compatible with regular sata devices.

What does it mean.
I have also chosen 1tb western digital internal hard drive(WD10EZEX).

Is this hard drive is compatible with this motherboard?

Thanks in advance.

Solution
That is just the 1 X SATA Express. The other 6 SATA connectors work with all SATA drives. Yes the 1tb WD will work with any of the 6 x SATA 6Gb/s connectors.

1 x M.2 connector (Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280/22110 SATA and PCIe x4/x2 SSD support)
1 x SATA Express connector
* The SATA Express connector is not compatible with regular SATA devices.

6 x SATA 6Gb/s connectors
* Refer to "1-7 Internal Connectors," for the installation notices for the M.2 and SATA connectors.

Yes, but you will have to read the user manual to verify which SATA ports may be disabled if using the m.2 port.
