Storage is different on different places..??

Hello,
I have an android phone which has
32gb storage and 10 gb system reserved out of 22gb it shows that 4 gb is occupied but when I copy all the data from internal storage into PC its just shows about 900MB

What is going on....


And sorry for weird title

The 10GB reserve covers the basic apps, operating system and other program files necessary for the phone to run. And, I imagine that when you copied everything over, you didn't copy apps aswell? if that's the case, that would explain why 900mbs was the result. As well, another reason that it may be smaller is because, when you move things like media (photos, videos, etc) it may compress, which will typically lower quality, resolution, etc- but also lower the size of the media. Usually, you can choose to not compress media when sending it, but sometimes it will automatically do so.
