Hi there,
I just bought a new laptop, an HP 15 AY010NL and I want to add an additional SSD.
Can you please suggest me what caddy should I buy? Are they all the same or should I find a particular one for my laptop?

Thanks.

Solution
So your laptop has an m2 slot, HDD slot and 9.5mm DVD drive slot.

If your laptop has only an SSD for storage then you can get a SATA ssd and put it in the hard drive location.
If your laptop has an SSD and hard drive, then you can remove your 9.5mm DVD tray and use one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Silverstone-Height-2-5-Inch-Conversion-TS08/dp/B00AFP89F8

Now these are specs off of a manual on the internet so before ordering anything remove your access panels to verify what you have in regards to m2 and sata drives.
" should I find a particular one for my laptop?"
Unfortunately laptops don't have much for universal standards (aside from a few items).
BUT...
Your laptop has a slot intended for SSD. Which looks like it might be included depending on which one you ordered.
HOWEVER..
you said "additional SSD" and that you wanted to remove the optical drive.

I don't see a solution to do that provided by HP for this laptop.
(It doesn't mean it's not possible but it does mean may be easier for you to just get a bigger M.2 SSD instead of another one.)
