ddr 2 memory question

will ddr2 2gb ram fit in ddr2 1gb ram slots? I have 4 ram slots, however my graphics card is using 1gb. running windows 10 on 2006 pc, quad core 2.83gHz processor. i have been getting the low memory warning.

Officially it isn't supported by Dell, but if your system is a Vostro 420, then Crucial sell compatible modules: http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/Dell/vostro-420-tower Confirmed working: https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/28100480/Maximum-memory-for-DELL-Vostro-230-410-and-420.html
