Thanks for your help. I am very sure the jack is busted and it's not a software issue.
I did ask for help from NZXT and they said they will send me a replacement part but they never did.
I even agreed to pay for the part (i am assuming its quiet cheap) and shipping, but they never sent it.
Every time I post a complaint, they just close my ticket!!!! :\
"likely you want to get exactly that jack working as designed" - yes that is what I would ideally like. Any idea what the part is called and where I can get it? I know it might involve some soldering and I think I can handle that. After all I did assemble this PC myself *pat on back*
"You can use USB audio, PCI card audio, run header on your MB to audio out" - I have limited knowledge of computers and hardware so I don't really know how to accomplish any of these. Elaborate? Or I could google...
My back Audio jack still works so I am using that for now, but for headphones, the top jack is way more convenient.

$250 case? You call NZXT (in or out of warranty) and ask for help.
You can use USB audio, PCI card audio, run header on your MB to audio out that is not the top audio out jack, but likely you want to get exactly that jack working as designed.
Aside, I am assuming a physical problem with the jack that you have debugged. If you top audio jack just stopped working then please post. It is likely drivers and setting and mixer problems, nnot case related.
