Can you tell me if an nvidia geforce gt630 4gb ddr3 graphics card is good for gaming or decent or what types of games it should handle?

in short that card was never really a gaming card. it is more an office environment card, some basic stuff but really lacking in resources compared to even the GT660, numerically similar but very very different animals.

it is slow and is a bad choice

only for those who can't afford a gt 740, that is the minimum on nvidia to play games on medium at 900p

Very poor choice for gaming, as is the GT 740, both perform about the same as integrated graphics on a modern Intel CPU.
You want at very least the RX 460 for gaming.

It is a low end card and a bit dated now. But if you still want to get one go for the GDDR5 version as it is slightly better than the DDR3 version. Here you can see the GDDR5 version in action
