Screen goes black while playing games

So I play overwatch a lot and every 20 mins or so my monitor will go black for 2-3 seconds. The sounds of the game still play in the background and half of times the screen goes black it takes me to the desktop screen. My gpu is running at an average of about 62 degrees centigrade. Also while the screen goes black the keyboard lights, mouse lights and computer lights still work fine. Not sure what to do now.

Cpu: i5 6600k
Gpu: gtx 1070
Ram : 16gb
Monitor: acer g7 series g247hyl

Had this same issue. Tested different monitors, different cables, changed the slots of RAMs but nothing helped. I thought it was the psu I just had installed but in fact the fix was an update from my gpu drivers plus an update from the game app (Origin in my case, but it works like Steam) and the problem disappeared.
I also cleaned my gpu board.

So I have tried cleaning the gpu and switching out to different cables and it still happens. in the event viewer I get "A caller specified the SDC_FORCE_MODE_ENUMERATION flag in a call to the SetDisplayConfig() API" whenever it happens
