I bought a new motherboard, cpu and ram and installed them yesterday. I kept getting freezes and i checked if my ram was properly installed. Right clicking my computer and pressing properties shows that i have 16 gb of ram installed but CAM and MSI Afterburner show that i have only 8 gb installed. Does it affect that i didn't buy a single 16 gb package(2x8gb) but i bought 2 8 gb ram sticks (same ram stick) seperetly? And Cam shows that i have 2x4gb sticks? wtf is this?

Yes, it does affect it. Sometimes, when you purchase two of the same stick, even if they are the precisely same models, same size, brand, manufacture, etc- they may not work together. However, your system recognizes the DIMMs and boots with them inside, so I couldn't say that's the precise issue- however, it may be more underlying than that. I would take one stick out, run the system, do a memory test, then swap out for the next stick, repeat. If they're both in working order, then place both inside the system, reboot, check the BIOS and make sure everything's all nice and peachy, then go ahead with checking MSI Afterburner and CAM again.

I just checked cpu-z and it shows that i have 16gb of ram but they are both running on 1200mhz and i have xmp on profile 1 and in bios it shows that they should be running 2400mhz.
