Random shut-offs with new build

Hey guys,
just as the title says, I've been experiencing 'random' shut-offs with my brand new build that I have no idea how to resolve
There is no warning like a blue screen or anything before it shuts off, it just completely turns off with a sort of 'click' sound to be heard every time (not sure if that is important info)
This happens every time I first turn it on every day, it normally stays on for about 3-4 minutes at first boot, second time (after I've switched off the PSU and waited a few seconds to turn it back on and start up the computer again) it'll stay on for under a minute most often, and after that it generally works well for the rest of the day without issue, but the problem begins again the next day
Leaving it idle isn't the issue, heat isn't the issue, strain isn't the issue as I've tested it under load and idle multiple times after it began to work again and it was fine

I was thinking faulty components (maybe the PSU?) was the cause of my troubles, but I'd like to see if there's anything else I should be looking out for

gear:
Samsung 850 EVO SSD 250gb
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16gb (2x8) 3200 ddr4
Gigabyte GA-AB350M-Gaming 3 motherboard
AMD Ryzen 5 1600 processor @ 3.60 (oc'd)
Coolermaster GM Series G650M - 650w PSU
EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti GPU
Seagate Barracuda 2tb HDD

Solution
Yep, PSU this time. At first, I'm guessing that the surge protector turns off due to overwattage protection; now that it's resolved, looks like either the AMD power states caused that power cycle to reset states in PSU or that something about the PSU design is poor.

the click is just the sort of sound it makes when everything turns off, wasn't sure if it was relevant or not so I posted it anyway

yeah it's connected to a surge protector

actually looking at it a bit more I think I just have an old powerstrip
do you think not having a surge protector could be causing this?

If the PC is plugged into a power strip, then the power strip could be very high quality such that when the computer starts pulling out of idle, the strip's overwattage protection shuts the strip off.

If not plugged in to power strip, then PSU issue. But a power strip may be able to condition the power pulled from wall.

well I've bought a new surge protector, but the random shut offs continue in about the same way (this time the intervals were 1. 3 minutes; 2. 30 seconds; 3. 15 seconds; 4. 10 seconds; 5. near instant shut down on boot; 6. boots fine and runs the rest of the day)

do you think these shut downs + janky PSU could damage the rest of my components?
I can't really be arsed returning it and I've already thrown away the box.

Well I decided to return it and it's working perfectly now after they've sent it back.
What an absolute pain but I'm glad it's finally resolved and I don't have to worry anymore.
Thanks for the answers.
