I need an gpu that is compatible with an 400w psu? or at least cut close with.
Other than the usual 750 gtx and 1050 gtx

I think that you have the question backwards.
Your computer is expensive, and your power supply is relatively cheap.
Therefore buy the computer components you need, then spend a few $$ more on a proper high quality stable power supply to run them. For example EVGA supernova.

We need to know the rest of your specs. The psu is not just providing power to the gpu but to all of your components. Please list all of your components. Also as mentioned, not all psus are created equal. Specific model numbers are needed. A standard hp whitebox tells me as much as you saying you have a computer. There is a label on it that will say the model. If you are confused by the label then take a picture and post it.
