So my laptop is a: UX510UW-CN077T. It's a Zenbook (non-pro) from the 2017, late 2016 lineup from asus. Soldered on the mobo is a cl15 2133mhz bar of ddr4. I added one today but multiple readings with different software show that my frequency is running @ 664-7mhz.

In cpu-z it fluctuates between this and the expected speed of 1063ishmhz.

Is this correct?

DDR = Dual Data Rate. So when you see the number 1063(or slightly higher) then you simply multiply it by 2 to get it's effective speed, i.e: 2x 1063 = 2126MHz which is close to the 2133MHz figure. If you're getting 1066 or a little lower on CPU-Z, double that to get your advertised ram speed.

On another note, please make sure your motherboard BIOS is up to date.

As stated that would be great and this I know, but most of the time it reads 66xmhz. Why is this?

To add: the NB frequency in cpuz never comes near 1063mhz. Usually sits around 698mhz.
