Hello,
I want to upgrade my motherboard to the MSI Z270 Gaming Pro

My CPU is intel core i7 2600

2 questions:

    1) Will My CPU be supported? on the website of the motherboard they mention that 6th and 7th generation are supported. no word about second.

    2) I am forced to also get new DDR4 RAMs as the motherboard do not support my current DDR3 RAMS. Will that also be a problem for my CPU?

(in short, will I need to buy a new CPU too?)

Solution
1| Nope. The platform is generations apart and the socket has changed since the 2nd generation of Intel's cor I processors.
2| The IMC(Integrated Memory Controller) will not support the new ram.

Essentially you're looking at a complete rebuild if you want to work with that board = new CPU, ram(and the board) and judging from the age of your processor a new case+PSU as well.
