So after about a month hiatus from my PC, decided to focus on school for a bit, I have been unable to use my PC. The first boot allows me to be on it for around 10 minutes before it completely freezes, if I have a video or game open loud screeching noise from speakers, only way to get out is to restart via button on case. If i restart I usually only have a minute or less before it freezes again, If i restart a third time its seconds before it freezes, usually can't make it past login in screen. Waiting 10-20 minutes rent the problem.

I have cleaned out a minimal amount of dust, and have made sure that all the stock/case fans are running, all cooling is stock fans. CPU seems to be idling between 40-50c. and if i just use something like chrome (during the first boot) it gets up into the 60+ C. via HWmonitor.

I have also checked CPU drivers, up to date, have been unable to check GPU drivers, windows 10 says it has updates but not sure for what, unable to update do to freezing. Unforutanltey don't have a ready supply/friends stuff to double check with.

(I have not tested Ram yet - memtest(?) - but will update when I do)

System Specs (nothing OC):

Intel i7-4790k
MSI z97-G45 Gaming
hyper x DDR3
850 EVO 250gb ssd
WD 1tb blue
Windforce gtx 970
EVGA 850 80 plus gold

BIOS:

Memory size, 8192 MB
